Our Bow Specialist Laurie Moore, studied violin and viola from an early age. She began her training in repairs and bow re-hairing in 1983 under Fred Carpenter and Mick Loveland. She is a 30 year member of the Santa Rosa Symphony and freelances extensively in the North Bay on violin and viola. Professional musicians flock to her from all over the Bay Area for her renowned bow re-hairing. During her tenure at Loveland Violin Shop, Laurie has been entrusted to work on virtually every important violin bow maker, including Francois Xavier Tourte, Dominique Peccatte, F. N. Voirin, and Eugene Sartory.
